Maybe it’s just me, but whenever I see photos of models or celebrities, their eye makeup always seems to define their eyes without going overboard. It’s like they’ve found the perfect balance between “I’m only wearing mascara for the day” and “I’m doing a full on smokey eye for tonight.” I was talking to my sister about “this look” and she told me about a tutorial that the beauty department did. So, I decided to give it a try!

In their tutorial they suggest using a black kohl liner. I’ve tried several liners and one of my favorites and everyday go-tos is urban decay glide-on eye pencil in the shade called perversion. You can always visit the tutorial for more information but the gist is this: line your upper and lower waterlines. line your upper and lower lid. smear upper and lower lid with a cotton swab. done! I personally also like to do a neutral shadow on the eyelid because I feel like the eyeliner blends a little better. Below is a picture of how the look turned out for me. I haven’t quite perfected it, but it’s a start!
