I spent this past weekend in Palm Springs for my sister’s bachelorette and you all requested our recommendations from the trip so figured I’d compile everything here. A little disclaimer though – we spent 90% of our time at our Airbnb lounging by the pool so we didn’t venture out into actual Palm Springs a ton. However, I’m going to list everywhere we did go, where we ordered takeout from, and other recommendations I received from some of you that live in Palm Springs.
Before listing out the recommendations, I wanted to share our Airbnb. If you’re going to Palm Springs my biggest piece of advice would be to invest in a good house aka one with an awesome pool/outdoor space. Like I said, we spent most of our time at the pool so having an amazing pool was important to us. Palm Springs itself is a pretty small town so it’s not like “omg there is so much to do.” IMO, I feel like the main attraction is the amazing weather, landscape and architecture. It’s a great place to retreat to and enjoy time outside and/or relaxing by the pool. Overall though would definitely recommend our Airbnb! Super nice indoor and outdoor space, could heat up the spa area of the pool into a hot tub at night, and was less than 10 minutes from downtown.
The first night we just stayed at the Airbnb and had Mexican food delivered (sorry, I do not remember the name! We just found a random one on UberEats/DoorDash). The next day we made breakfast at the house, and for lunch ordered sandwiches from The Sandwich Spot to be delivered. These were so good. I got the DreamKiller (veggie) on dutch crunch bread (highly recommend this bread BTW)! That night we went to Birba for dinner which was very good. We just got a bunch of apps, pizzas, and pastas for the group and all shared everything. Plus it’s a super cute vibe – all table are on an outdoor patio/terrace.
The only other time we left the Airbnb besides dinner at Birba (I told y’all we spent a lot of time at the house!!) was when we went ATV’ing! We were originally planning on going to Joshua Tree but it is about an hour there and back so we decided we didn’t want to spend most of the day away from the pool haha. We wanted our pool time! So we ended up doing ATVs which was only 15 minutes away. Definitely recommend doing this. We all loved it and had such a good time – definitely a fun/different activity to do and it’s great for a group.
Oh also! I got these super cute succulent themed cupcakes made at this local spot called Over The Rainbow Desserts. They turned out so good and also tasted amazing if you’re looking for a custom/personalized desserts for the weekend! I’m kicking myself that I didn’t get a proper photo of them but here is a glimpse from when I picked them up:
I’m going to also go ahead and list some other restaurant recommendations we got below (* means they were recommended more than once). But let me know if you have any other questions about our weekend 🙂
