Yes, you read that right. I have loved switching from getting my nails professionally done to press-on nails. Words I never thought I’d say.
So if you have been following along with my “press-on journey” (there is a whole highlight saved on my IG) then you know I decided to give press-on nails a try. Basically, I was tired of spending money on my nails every month not to mention that I hated taking the time out of my day to get them done. If it’s a pedicure – that’s different. It’s relaxing, you can work on other stuff since your hands aren’t occupied, and you don’t have to get them done as often. But I always get antsy during a manicure, didn’t like working it into my schedule every 2-3 weeks, and spending the money on it.
So all of that is what led me to the press-on nail journey. I’ve tried 3 brands so far and honestly have been really happy with all of them. Despite all my home projects, skiing, walking the dogs, typing on the computer, etc. I haven’t had any issues with the press-on nails. I’ve had one or two pop off after a week or so but that was after moving suitcases, days of home projects, etc. and it was super easy to glue back on and never came off after that. I’ve tried the brands Olive & June, Glamnetic, and Static Nails (Static Nails shown in the main blog photo). I’ve also found that the short and medium lengths are what work best for me and my natural nails btw.
Not only have they been super durable and less expensive, but I also love being able to play around with fun designs and switch them out more often if I want to. All that to say, highly recommend trying press-on nails if you feel remotely similar to me. I honestly thought I wouldn’t be impressed with them but let’s just say, I won’t be going back to professional manicures anytime soon!
I love this Claire! I switched to the press on nail game last year and it has been a game changer. Have you ever heard of Red Aspen? They are an online beauty brand and I’ve had great success with the nails…happy to share more!
