I think it’s safe to say that most of us are spending a lot more time outdoors now that it’s summer. I definitely know that I am. Thankfully, I’ve teamed up with Avon because their Skin So Soft Bug Guard Collection has been saving my skin with zero bug bites in site. If you know me, you know that I hate the cold weather (basically anything under 60 degrees haha) so once summer hits I’m always outside whenever I have a chance! Since I live for the heat, the only downside of really being outside is the bugs. Today, I’m going to share with you what I’ve been using to help combat them. And, don’t worry, it won’t leave you sticky or smelling like bug spray–so not ideal! Earlier this summer Stephen and I had the chance to try Avon’s Bug Guard products, and we ended up loving them.

Living in North Carolina, we’re able to spend a lot of time outdoors. This summer, especially, we’ve been hiking, canoeing, having picnics, and I’ve also been taking advantage of being in our new house. We love going for runs or walks through our neighborhood. The Avon Skin So Soft Bug Guard collection has been great for preventing mosquitoes and ticks. The Bug Guard Plus IR3535® and Expedition collections all have an SPF built in too, and none of their products feel sticky after you apply them. They also smell really good! That being said, I don’t think I’ve ever tried a bug repellent that hasn’t been sticky and that smells good so this is a miracle.

The collection also comes in all different applications. There are lotions, sprays, and even moist towelettes that you can use. I’ve really liked using their water resistant Bug Guard IR3535 Cool ‘N Fabulous SPF 30 Lotion before running or walking outside because I know it will stay on despite sweating. The Bug Guard Plus Picaridin Towelettes are also great because they keep those pesky mosquitoes away for 8 hours and deer ticks for 12 hours. They are also individually wrapped and super convenient to just throw into your gym bag or purse. Every products in their collection is deet free so there’s a variety of options to choose from depending on the activity you’re doing.
