Christmas is getting closer and closer and I’m finding myself with more reasons to prepare something to take over to a dinner party or holiday festivity! I feel like Sangria is great because it’s super easy and pretty much a people pleaser for everyone! I mean I love bringing brussel sprouts but they aren’t always a winner like sangria LOL.
All you need to do for this recipe is add prepared fruits to the bottom of a pitcher, pour in bottle of red wine and juice, add cinnamon sticks and stir. Refrigerate for 8-12 hours before serving!
I went to Trader Joe’s and picked up the ingredients. I recommend leaving it in the fridge for 8 hours to let the cinnamon flavors marinate but you could serve immediately if you are pressed for time!
I made the mistake of added the wine to the pitcher first and then had to be very careful dropping in the fruit so it wouldn’t splash, but in hindsight I should’ve obviously added the fruit first then poured the wine and pomegranate juice over top. Duh Claire.

1 bottle of red wine (I love Cocobon from TJ’s but any red wine will work).
2 cups pomegranate juice
1 pomegranate – seeded*
1 orange sliced then halved
1 cup cranberries
2 cinnamon sticks
*Seeded pomegranates can be a little messy but if you seed them into a bowl of water it helps control the juices and the white flesh floats to the top whereas the arils (edible seeds) sink to the bottom.
Mix together and refrigerate.
