A little background about how the collection came about. Voda Boutique is local to Raleigh and I discovered them over a year ago through a friend. They quickly became one of my favorite local places to shop. They are woman owned, and their pieces range from classic basics that go with anything in your wardrobe to more trendier pieces. So a little bit of everything for everyone. The overall vibe of Voda is also so cute! There are very few stores that I like to shop in (I mean, I’d rather order everything online let’s be honest) but Voda is one of the exceptions! All their pieces, set-ups and decor are so well thought out and just makes the store an environment you want to be in.

With all that said, I was super excited when I got the opportunity to work with them on creating this collection. The inspiration behind this collection came from your input on what trends you wanted for fall, plus items that were similar to my everyday wardrobe (and there was a lot of overlap between the two ;)). I wanted your classic basics that can go with any outfit and that you can mix and match, while also throwing in a couple of trendier pieces like leopard print and tie-dye. The thing I love about this collection is all the pieces are super versatile. The bodysuits can be worn with any of the pants and skirts, items like the black sweater can be worn with any of the pants, skirts, and even over the dress for a cozier fall look. As you can see in these photos, you can get so many different outfits out of the collection which makes all the pieces really practical and function for your everyday wardrobe.

That is one of the reasons why I also leaned towards mostly neutrals! A lot of my everyday wardrobe is compromised of neutrals because they are so easy to pair with other pieces, so I wanted to extend that into this collection. Even the patterned pieces have a neutral base (beige, white and black) so they can easily mix with other items. The couple colors that we did throw in were really pretty jewel tones (deep reds and greens) which I feel like are perfect for transitioning into fall.

As far as price point, I wanted these to be quality items that would last but not so expensive where they would break the bank. I’m all about investing in certain pieces, but as far as my everyday wardrobe goes I’d rather have pieces that are good quality and will last but that are still affordable. Every piece in the collection is $40-58 except for the jacket which is $130. And the jacket is definitely a nicer and more substantial item that you’ll get a ton of use out of. It’s going to be replacing my leather jacket here as soon as the temps get a little cooler!

If you’re reading this, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for all the support and encouragement you give me on a daily basis. Without you, I would never be able to do collaborations like this. Thank you for making all of this possible, and I truly hope you love this collection!! xx C
