Where I Shop For Furniture & Home Decor

Hi guys! Today I thought I would do a round up where I shop for home decor. In general, I feel like it’s great to mix high and low (priced) pieces–there is no reason that you need to spend a lot on every single piece for your place. And honestly I feel like now there are so many options for furniture that you can find pieces that are priced somewhere in the middle that still have the same look and quality of higher end pieces. Anyway! Here are some places I’ve purchased from or have browsed through when looking at furniture and other home decor:

CB2 (Purchased my office desk from here, and this table which is in the featured photo).
Crate & Barrel (Ordered this cabinet for my office).
West Elm (Even though I haven’t been obsessed with our sofa from here, I still think they are a great place to shop. Our light fixture from our old dining room was from here too, and we have a large mirror and console from here as well).
World Market (Dining room chairs are from here).
Barn & Willow (Ordered custom window treatments from here).
Overstock (Have gotten drapes from here for the bedroom, and our coffee table is from here as well).
Article (Feel like they have great quality that doesn’t break the bank. We have this chair featured in photo above, this sofa and table on our screened in porch).
Wayfair (Great place to find some lower priced items that still can look really nice. Outdoor chairs from here and bed is as well).
Target (Outdoor patio chairs are from here. Also great for shelving items like books, vases, candles, etc).
Burke Decor (Chaise lounge in office is from here).
Anthropologie (I used to think everything from here was so expensive but they actually have some more reasonably priced items. Sideboard in office is from here).
Houzz (Found our dining room table here for several hundred less than other vendors/websites).
Kathy Kuo (Have highly curated options from a variety of designers. The rug and side tables in our master bedroom are from here. Code KKHxCG20).
Shades of Light (Huge variety of light fixtures that are pretty reasonably priced).
Maiden Home (This is where I want to purchase our next sofa from. Very high quality, everything is handcrafted out of NC, and great prices for the custom and quality you’re getting).
Nadeau (They have various stories throughout the US, but they are VERY reasonably priced and have great quality. Our dresser in our master bedroom is from here).
House of Nomad (Stumbled across them when we were in Charleston and love their store! Great for home accessories when it comes to styling shelves, finding accent pillows, etc).
Ikea I recently just ordered a cabinet from Ikea which looks sooo similar to one from CB and it’s a fraction of the cost. I feel like Ikea pieces are great to mix with higher end pieces.

I know there are other popular stores like Restoration Hardware, Arhaus, McGee and Co, etc. I personally feel like their pieces are beautiful but those sites are typically more than I’m looking to spend. I also sometimes don’t think their quality justifies the cost. For example, I was looking at one of those sites for a dining room table. It was around 4K and it beautiful but when I read the description, it wasn’t even real wood, it was laminated. Not saying that all their pieces are that way and not worth the investment but I just say that to encourage you to do your research and actually look at the materials and manufacturing process in what you’re buying. Sometimes it may 100% be worth the splurge, or if it’s a piece that you absolutely love and you can’t find anywhere else, I get it! Sometimes we just like what we like. But I feel like now there are a lot of options when it comes to where we can shop and sometimes the most expensive isn’t always the best quality/option 😉

Yes yes yes to all of this! Just because it’s a high price tag, doesn’t mean it’s worth the price tag. Love the round up!
