Hi guys! Today I am very excited to share the before and after photos of our kitchen renovation! Before we dive in, I have two other blog posts pertaining to the kitchen in terms of renderings plus overall budget and then why I’m glad ended up choosing less expensive countertops (and not just because of the price). After the before and after photos, I’ll share a little more about the overall process, who we used for the renovation, etc. but figured those two blog posts might be helpful if you’re looking for a little more background information!

Before Photos

For the renovation we used Carolina Chic and were very happy with them (they primarily do bathrooms and kitchens, but have also done whole houses if you have a larger project)! They act as a general contractor and designer which I loved because we could do everything with one company versus hiring a design team separately. Their prices were also much more affordable than other quotes I got and they do very high quality work – win win.

The first part of the process included them coming to see the space, me sharing inspo photos, and then talking through options of what they could do. They then took all that information, and put together mood boards for me. Once I selected the moodboard that I loved most, they put it into a rendering (you can see renderings in this blog) so I could get a better understanding of what everything would potentially look like. The last step then before moving onto the actual renovation was finalizing the budget. They sent me a line item sheet of what everything would cost if we did my absolute “dream” kitchen. Then based on what that came out too, I could say “Yes, this looks great!” or “Actually, this is little more than I wanted to spend, let’s eliminate X,Y,Z.” The entire process was very streamlined and they were very easy to work with. I honestly have heard nightmares when it comes to renovations but they were so on top of everything from start to finish. From demo day to the day the kitchen was done, they were in and out in less than a month. You always hear stories about it taking 4 months, 6 months, etc. so I was super happy with this timeline! Needless to say, if you’re looking to do a remodel, highly recommend them! It’s a husband and wife team, Cole and Brittany, and you will love working with them. Ps.
