So now that we are *not* moving lol – it’s time to focus on the next house projects! Besides our primary bathroom, most of the big areas are now complete. It’s mostly smaller projects like taking down wallpaper, updating paint colors, updating some furniture, etc. So nothing too major but enough smaller projects that when they are done, I feel like the feel of the home will really be transformed! I mean, I think of what our house first looked like when we moved in and we’ve come a long way! But I also know that by contuing to make updates here and there, that it ultimately changes the vibe of the entire house. So that is the plan!
While I would love to remodel our primary bathroom, for right now we are sticking to smaller projects, especially ones that are more in the main areas of the house. That being said, downstairs we are focusing on updating our half bath (off the kitchen) and our laundry room. Really everything in these rooms is just cosmetic updates – removing the wallpaper, adding a new vanity and mirror (bathroom), replacing the countertop and sink (laundry room). I’m currently thinking dark and moody for the half bath (like in the photo above; original source here) but still TBD. Laundry room still being determined as well but it’s on the list as one of the first rooms to tackle! Ps. If you want to see either of these rooms plus other rooms in our house that haven’t yet been updated, go watch my “normal” rooms highlight.
The other room that we are focusing on right now is the bonus room/Stephen’s office. We haven’t done anything with this room since moving in (similar to the half bath and laundry room) and it definitely needs a little TLC. Let’s just say it currently looks like a teenage boy lives there so time to fix that! We are basically planning on painting it white (it’s currently like a light green) with a black accent wall. That is about as far as we’ve gotten in the planning process but I think that will be first on our list since Stephen uses that room all day, everyday. Then we can move onto the downstairs projects.
Per usual, I’ll keep you posted on IG and here but figured I’d go ahead and share what our next plans for the house are!
