Hey guys! Today I thought I would round up some tools that I feel like have made my job as a blogger/influencer much easier! Whether you’re just getting started, or have been blogging for some time, I think all of these tools can definitely make your life more convenient and up the quality of your content!
Ring light I honestly don’t know why I just bought this last year. Like, what was I doing with my life beforehand?! Not only does it give you so much additional light, but it also doubles as a tripod. In the photo above for example, I used the ring light for additional light but also used it as a tripod. It also use this all the time when I just need additional light in a room. For example, if I’m shooting a video in my office which doesn’t get a ton of natural light, I’ll just have the ring light pointed in the general direction that I’m shooting and it makes a huge difference.
Blue tooth remote You can really get a bluetooth remote for your phone anywhere, but the one I linked also comes with a phone stand that connects to the ring light I linked above. But regardless of what remote you get, it’s a total game changer if you’re shooting photos a ton by yourself/with a tripod. I’m sure this is self-explanatory lol, but basically, you open your camera and every time you hit the remote it will automatically take your photo. This way you can just do a bunch of different poses and batch a bunch of photos at once, without going back and forth to your phone using the self-timer.
Little Selfie One – Selfie Light So I just received this in the mail a few days ago and and love it already. In the past, whenever I was recording IG stories and didn’t have a ton of light, I’d set up my ring light a few feet in front of me, but this is so much more convenient when I’m just shooting stories (camera facing me) on a daily basis. You can also clip it onto your computer when on zoom calls, etc. for when you need additional (and a flattering) light. So I feel like this is great for anyone –whether you’re a blogger or not!
Zero Gravity Phone Case So this came up for me on an IG ad last month and I was very intrigued so eventually ended up ordering it lol. I was wondering how disappointed I’d be (ie. if it actually would work) but I’ve been pleasantly surprised! I would say 9/10 times it stays put on whatever surface I’m using. It’s just a convenient option when you want to be hands free and don’t necessarily have a mirror, or don’t want to go through the hassle of setting up a tripod.
Riki Skinny 5x Light Mirror This is great if you’re filming makeup tutorials on your phone, and a great mirror for traveling in general. It has 5 different light settings (they also have one with 10 options) and there is a phone holder that via magnet attaches directly to the mirror. This can of course be removed so you can also just use it as a mirror if you’re not filming.
Editing apps VSCO and Lightroom have been my go-to for editing for as long as I can remember. I feel like it’s so important to find an edit that works well with your content. If you’re curious where to start with finding a filter that works for you, definitely check out this blog post. And here I talk about exactly how I edit my photos.
If you guys have any other tools that have made your life easier when creating content, I would love to know!!
