12 items that I think are worth investing in

MacBook Pro (Laptop) This was a purchase that I debated on last year (getting a Mac vs. a PC) and I am so glad I splurged and got the MAC. It has made my (work) life 100x easier and it was definitely worth the investment! Especially if you’re someone who uses your (i)phone a lot for work, the air drop feature between the computer and phone is a total game changer, and not to mention all your notes, iMessages, etc. sync. I can’t tell you how much time it saves me on a daily basis. Not the mention it’s a beautiful computer, and it has features like the Touch Bar and Touch ID. And needless to say it’s a great choice especially if you’re doing a lot of photo and video editing.

Tuft & Needle Bedsheets + Duvet Cover When we moved this summer, one of my priorities was to upgrade our bedding and I have been super happy with the linen sheets and duvet cover we got! I mean, when you’re using something like 40% of the day, it only makes sense that you would want to upgrade haha. The initial purchase is a little painful upfront when you could just go to Homegoods and get some for $40 but I promise you’ll be happy to invest in some luxe sheets!

Luxury Purses Sorry this isn’t more specific but honestly every designer purse I have I get a ton of use out of and really feel like they have been worth the investment. I wear them consistently and feel like they instantly upgrade even the most simple outfit. I shared a blog post earlier this year on how I decide on which luxury bags to buy so I’ll link that here if you’re wondering where to start!

Levi’s Jeans I feel like I’ve tried a lot of jean brands over the years, and Levi’s are a brand that I always come back to. Every pair of jeans I have from them I love, and are in my frequently grabbed pairs. I don’t think you have to spend a lot on jeans to find a pair you love but I think when you find a brand that you do love that it’s worth investing (it it’s an item you’re wearing often!)

Gucci Belt This is an item that is kind of similar to the designer bag in the sense that it can instantly elevate the most simple outfit. Especially since I tend to gravitate towards pretty basic outfits, adding the belt is an easy addition that can totally change your look (for the better 😉 ).

Skinceuticals CE Ferulic This is an item that everyone always asks–is it worth it?! IMO, it’s the 1 skin product that I am okay with splurging on. I’m going to link a reel from my friend Dr. Joyce Park (Dermatologist). She shares a lot of great skin info, but in this reel she gives a great examples of why some skincare products and brands and better than others even if they have the same ingredients listed (CE ferulic being one them). I’ve used this product for years and it’s something I will continue to invest in!

ECCO Sneakers The soft 7 sneakers from ECCO in particular are still one of my all time favorites. Even though they were a bit of a splurge, I bought they for Italy last summer as I wanted a sneaker that would be comfortable for walking a ton and that would be versatile enough to go with almost any outfit. This sneaker is it! When you find a sneaker that you can wear almost every day, doesn’t give you blisters, is comfortable, and is great quality, you don’t mind investing!

RayBan Sunglasses These sunglasses were definitely a splurge but I just was ob-sessed with them and knew I would wear them all the time because they were just so classic and would go with everything. I have to admit, I haven’t worn them a ton this year because, well, we haven’t really been going anywhere, so I usually just throw on my cheap amazon ones in the car for when I’m driving (which I also love btw!). But I can say that the amount that I wear these during regular circumstances lol has made them totally worth the price. Also since these were so pricey, one thing I do with items like this and ones at similar price points is that I will wait a couple weeks before purchasing and if I’m still thinking about it then I know it’s something I really want and not an impulse buy.

Spanx Faux Leather Leggings I just got a pair this year but I’ve been kicking myself that I didn’t invest in a pair sooner. I wear these all. the. time. Again, not the most expensive item but you just don’t want to buy something if you don’t think you’ll wear it that often, etc. I wear these consistently, probably 2x a week, which is more often than most other items in my closet (besides my black jeans from Levi’s haha).

Adidas UltraBOOST After all the sneakers I’ve tried, I’ve still found that these are the best and most comfortable for workouts (and even the hospital).

Caraway Cookware Definitely an investment compared to the $20 pan you may find at Homegoods, but these are non-toxic, non-stick, ceramic and absolutely beautiful! Most cookware still has teflon in it, and if you’re cooking something upwards of 500-600 degrees, teflon becomes toxic. So, I think making the switch to non-toxic and chemical free cookware is definitely worth it! Our food also seems to just cook better on this cookware too.

Dyson Cordless Vacuum This vacuum has been a game changer. It’s lightweight, cordless, and super easy to clean under the sofa, tables, kitchen counters, etc. It also has different adaptors that make it really convenient to clean the stairs, your car, etc. I honestly have never vacuumed as much as I do now! I will say though that I think this is best for wood floors, tile, and low profile rugs. I would not recommend if you have majority carpet or higher profile rugs.

Something I’ve noticed about almost all of these items are they are things I use/wear on a regular, if not daily basis. And while there have definitely been some items that I use everyday that I wouldn’t recommend investing in (ahem, our sofa lol) I think that certain items are definitely worth splurging on when you know it’s something you’ll use all the time and that will last over the years! Do you guys have any items that you’d highly recommend that you’ve invested in?

I love Skinceuticals, it’s my favorite skincare brand. I also own a Dyson vacuum and it is the best. I do not have the cordless one but maybe one day.
