What To Consider When Building Your Brand

I get that this topic may seem a little  ironic given that fact that I’ve been asking you all advice on what to focus on more with my brand as I’ve been feeling a little “lost” lately. And yes, this is still a learning process for me but I feel like I’ve learned a lot from experience so far that I can share with you all. Plus, I’ve read a thing or two on what is important when building a brand so let’s talk about those today!

First and foremost is authenticity. This goes for any brand you’re creating, but especially on platforms such as blogging and influencing…because in these cases a lot of times your brand is you, your life. So, you have to build a brand that represents who YOU are. Yes, it’s great to get ideas from other sources but you have to take those and put your own spin on it. Your brand won’t seem, well, be,  authentic or genuine if you’re trying to be someone you’re not.

Consistency. Guys, you have to be consistent! On whatever your main platforms are, you have to consistently provide content. Maybe on your IG that means every day, and on your blog that only means 1x a week right now because that’s all you have time for. Well, okay, that’s fine! I’m not saying you have to post all day every day but you don’t want to post 4 blog posts in one week, and then not share anything for the next 2 weeks. Know what I’m saying? And yes, I could definitely be more consistent with my YouTube videos but my main focus is my IG and blog, and I’m still learning videos. So give me a break!! Aaaand I need to take my own advice and step it up, but right now there is only so much time in the day haha. But anyway, you get what I’m saying! In this case, do what I say and not what I do 😉

Cohesiveness. Now, when I say cohesiveness I mean that you want to have the same look and feel across all your platforms. Like, what if you came to my blog and all my photos were super bright and light colors, and then you went to my IG and everything was dark and moody? You would be like “ummm, what?” You would not get the feeling that you are looking at the same person’s content. Now, when I say the same look and feel, I’m not necessarily talking about a strict IG theme. For example, in some IG’s you’ll see that every third photo there is a quote, or every 4th photo is a filler photo. There’s been this whole mindset behind the “perfect IG layout” and I kind of think it’s ridiculous. Now before you freak out, am I saying that anyone who has a strict IG theme is wrong? No! Definitely not. But two things. I’ve actually heard people say they don’t like pages like that because they get predictable, and that is boring to them. Again, just repeating what I’ve heard. Secondly, I don’t personally like feeling limited on what I can share with you guys and when I can share it. What if I have something I really want to share but it doesn’t go with my theme, or it’s the day to post a food picture and I want to share an outfit with you guys? Just doesn’t work for me! But again, you do you. My point is, it’s not something to stress over.

Purpose. There are a few things to consider when sharing content. Are you here to persuade, entertain, inform, or inspire? Not that you have to pick only one of those and stick with it throughout all shared content. But just think, what is the purpose behind what I’m sharing? And when you’re building a brand, you also have to differentiate. What makes you different than other brands? Why do you people want to engage with you and your content?

Learn everything you need to know with our Monetize Your Influence Course!

Think long term. This is something that I didn’t have the leisure to do. As you may know, I started my blog and IG independently from one another, and didn’t have a business mentality with either of them. Eight months ago or so I knew I needed to re-do my blog and start changing the aesthetic of my brand, so I redesigned my site. But even then, I still didn’t even really think, okay what is  my brand. What do I want my brand to actually be. It’s been more so recently that I’ve had this mindset of what do I really want out of all this? I think it’s because I’ve had the realization that if blogging is something I really want do to, then the only person stopping me is me. I’ve always just considered it to be something I love and enjoy, and that it’s just part of my life. But now I don’t want it to just be a part of my life, I want it to “be” my life. Make sense? Yes? No? Hopefully yes lol. But point being, if you’re starting your own business, think of what you want out of it long term. Having to rebuild or rebrand your business is kind of a nightmare and while it has to be done sometimes, try to think of what you want from the beginning!

So hopefully these points give you some good things to think about when building your brand! Did you guys like this post? Let me know, and I can do more to expand on this topic! xx Claire

Hey girl! I’ve been following you on Instagram forever, glad I was able to find your blog ?? I would love more workout videos, seeing your exact workout routine.

  2. Camdyn Carmichael says:

Hey!!! I’ve been following your journey on instagram a while! I love how brutally honest you are! What I would love to see more of is your exact workouts & your favorite places you get your cute workout clothes from 🙂

  3. Coty White says:

Claire! I love, love, love following you on Instagram + watching your IG stories. You are such an inspiration & I love how relatable you are. You always stay true to yourself instead of putting on a front for social media – this is why I love your lifestyle photos more! (Even though styled shoots are fun sometimes)

As far as content goes- I’d say keep doing you! I love the advice that you give as far as macros. The only other thing I would maybe like to see every now & then would be workout tips other than your stair master routine. (Which is killer, btw)

    Love this. Love you.
    Xoxo

Hi!! I came across your insta on the explore page over the summer and instantly felt connected to you once I realized we were the same height (lol so random) and you’re a nurse (I worked as I veterinary nurse and am now in vet school). Anyway, I love all of your content, you truly come off as a kind and genuine person. You inspired me to start tracking macros and follow SSBM which I absolutely love. I’m 6 weeks in and can already tell how much my body has changed, so thank you!! I’d like to see more macro content on your page: any new macro friendly items, recipes, meals, and grocery store trips. Grocery store hauls would be great (especially trader joe’s… my favorite place ever…)! I like your more ootd content than the styled shoots, you have a great sense of everyday style. And any cute gym clothes are always great too! But, bottom line, keep the content coming and thank you so much for inspiring me to totally change up my fitness and dietary lifestyle, I couldn’t be happier!

    • Kelly Cornelison says:

I’d loveee for you to post more macro friendly items/products/brands you use!! I’m always looking for good substitutes and I know you’re a pro by now. Also more fashion posts!! I love your style ??

  4. Kristen says:

I’d love to see more fashion tips!! What trends/patterns/colors are in style? Where do you get your clothes? Do you shop mostly online? How do you find good deals?

  5. Hayley says:

    Hey Claire!
I came across your Instagram a couple of years ago on the explore page, and watched you go from a girlfriend to Stephen, a fiancé, and now a wife! Although I don’t know you in “real life” I feel like I do! You’re SO relatable!
Anyway, I originally started following you for fitness related content. (Majority of people I follow, are fit-inspo) however, that was a time before instagram stories…where I feel like I’ve really started to learn more about you! The “non fitness” aspect of your life. Typically I stop following people when they start transitioning into other things than what I started following for, but your stories are typically hilarious!
So with that being said, the old me what have said I want to see more fitness stuff! I.e.-gym routine, maybe a workout video, etc. However, now I’m obsessed over the stories you post with Stephen! They remind me so much of my boyfriend and I and they’re so funny..so I’m voting for more relationship stuff. Goals for you and Stephen as a couple, do you guys like where you live? Do you have plans to buy a home, plans for future children, etc. (if you do end up buying, show us your move in, decorating/remodeling plans!) I guess what I’m saying is more personal stuff!
Secondly, I started to steer away from your actual instagram posts. Reason being, is the “too posed” or “professional” pictures. I understand the professionalism in doing it, and they are beautiful pictures, however, it’s almost a little…boring. (I hope I’m not offending you!) I love your stories because it’s just your normal, everyday life stuff and it’s natural, so maybe do a reflection of your stories to your posts.
Thirdly, I would say, I love seeing your fashion outlook now! Love that you do the swipe up option through stories, or linked through the blog! Our style is so similar and I often times take that leap of faith of a purchase through your selection. Also love when you let us fan girls (lol) know about deals, coupon codes, etc. ps-I have also been on the lookout for knee high boots for, forever, and splurged on your suggestion!!
Throwing in one more, but it seems like you’re also on the go! Whether it’s errands or travel, show us more of the day to day! I love it!

Whatever you come up with, I’m sure it’ll be great!

    • cguentz.gofit says:

Hey!! Ah thanks so much. Wish I could respond to all of this (and everyone else’s comments too! Lol) but just wanted to say no offense taken at all. I appreciate the honesty!! That’s what I want to know ???

  6. morgan ivey says:

Hi! i looooove your insta & have followed u for what seems like forever!! i would love to see more workout videos or routines. Or a split that you follow each week, even if they aren’t necessarily part of Paola’s guide!

  7. Emily says:

I have followed your journey for quite a while now and love your insta stories! I feel like you really are truly authentic, especially with being a working professional. I find sometimes that so many fitness accounts are people who do fitness for a living (personal trainer, instructor etc) and it doesn’t represent the reality of having a 12 hour work day or just a busy work week.

Love your stories, maybe some videos during your workouts for form/tips/suggestions! Balancing work and working out and free time? I’m also into macro tips since I’m tracking with Paola’s macros as well!

Thanks so much for being so real! ??

  8. Amelia says:

    Hi Claire,

Love your blog and Insta – I would say I love your stories because you’re both just so hilarious and relatable. I am mainly on Insta for fitness and girl camaraderie in that, but I like seeing the other aspects too (fashion, travel, etc)! I would say, while I may watch make-up tutorials, I am less interested in skin care etc. Maybe you could do some videos or posts on some of your monthly favorites and include a mix of things?

Just some thoughts. No preferences on candid versus posed shots – I know Insta is mostly a place for people posting “pretty pics” of themselves and I feel that you are very real in other aspects even if you have some posed photos.

    Much love girlie,
    Amelia

  9. Thais says:

Claire, I love your blog! Overall, I would like to see more macro tips and the trainings that you do on a daily basis! I also prefer more normal photos, it is nice to see that you are just like any of us! Also, statement pieces that we need in our wardrobes would be cool to have! Thanks

  10. Amélie Chapdelaine says:

    Hi Claire 🙂

I am currently in my last year of nursing (I am 27 which means which this is also my second degree) and I feel like I am struggling a lot with balancing being a dedicated student and a healthy lifestyle. Knowing you have literally been in the same situation not long ago, I would love any tips on how you made it all work while you were in school.

I would also love to hear a little more about your nursing career. Maybe a blog on what kind of nurse you thrive to be every day and what kind of nursing you like/dislike. I find it fun to hear about other people’s nursing stories and get tips on how to improve myself on becoming a better nurse.

Love beauty posts (ex: hair, make up and skin care tutorials). Home decor (cheap finds to help make your home cuter). And also one thing I would love but I don’t know if you would want to do a blog on is how to calculate your own macros. I know you mentioned that you get yours calculated and suggested paying someone to calculate it for you but (student budget over here) I would like to experiment on my own. However I am not sure how to tweak macros to achieve my goal. I don’t know if this makes sense but for example, if you want more muscles you would increase your protein (but by approximately how much?) and decrease what to compensate? I know you wouldn’t be able to give specifics but kind of a general idea using percentages would be helpful.

    Have a great day 🙂

    • cguentz.gofit says:

Hey girl! Thanks for your comment and input! To just answer your macro question quickly, I actually have no idea how to calculate macros! Like I know some basics but I would never calculate someone else’s or my own just because I don’t know nearly enough!! Sorry!

      • Amélie Chapdelaine says:

That’s okay… worth a shot haha. thank you!!! oh and happy early birthday yay!

  11. Caroline Black says:

Hiiii! So first off, have to say that your insta is one of my faves because, as others have said, you’re so authentic. I never once feel like you say you’re chill with eating or only workout once a day or whatever a lot of others say when it’s so obvious that they do the exact opposite of what they’re preaching. However, at the same time, I don’t really feel like I know what you do for your workouts. Do you do Paola’s guides? Do you write your own workouts? Are you currently cutting or bulking/what are your current goals with your current macros? Also, I’d love to hear how you plan for “cheat” meals throughout the day, ie if you know you’ll be having a burger and fries for dinner and that’s going to take up however many of each macro, and it’s not one of your “don’t have to count this” meals, do you just limit what you eat that day leading up to dinner? And how are you not super hungry doing that? Maybe that’s just a q I have because I’m uninformed about macros, but I’d love to know! Also, the first of the two other things I’m super curious about is now that your blog/insta are a job for you, what does that entail for perks? Do companies just send you lots of free stuff all the time, how do you decide who to partner with, etc. all the behind the scenes stuff would be super interesting! And finally, I know you work crazy hours when you’re on, so you totally get the whole working thing. My job doesn’t give me much time to workout. I’m lucky if I finish my work before 9 every night, and I often have work to do on the weekends. The only way I can squeeze the gym in is if I get up crazy early every morning, but then I’m dealing with exhaustion and how to balance getting more sleep versus staying consistent (which is especially hard when I’m then sitting at a desk all day and my work always pays for me to order takeout at night, so it’s not the easiest to stay healthy). So any ideas for how to fit in working out no matter the schedule would be amazing!

Sorry for the novel, but thank you for being awesome and authentic!!

    Xx

PS the pics are great and posed ones are fun every now and again but just your average Instagram user posts as the type of pics you post most often will keep the authenticity better than posed professional pics, IMO 🙂

Claire! I always look forward to your Instagram stories and always get really excited when you post a YouTube video! I think you are super good on camera and really relatable so please do more YouTube videos girl!! Your relationship with Stevan is also goals! It’s the perfect combination of serious and loving yet still so playful and flirty which I find most couple tend to loose once they get married so seriously seriously don’t loose touch of that ?? I love you guys so much! I would actually love to hear more about how you dealt with your rapid weight loss when you fainted and how that maybe affected your relationship with food and fitness? It seems as though you have such an amazing balance right now but it would be interesting to know if you’ve ever struggled with that aspect? I know eating disorders are very common in the fitness industry (myself currently in the process of recovering) so it would be neat to hear about your past story with regards to food, exercise, fitness etc and how you’ve come to find that lovely balance you now have ??

    • cguentz.gofit says:

  14. Katharine says:

    Hi Claire!

First off, I absolutely love this blog and think it’s so nice of you to share your tips to everyone else out there! I think it would be really interesting to see some more workout plans or sets you do on your arm/leg days besides your stair master routine. I’ve actually started working my way up to 45 minutes on the stair master because of you! I find it to be such a great cardio routine, but I also like doing weights and would love to see some more IG posts on what else you do at the gym!

Thank you for being so motivating and real!

  15. Anonymous says:

    Hi Claire!

I’ve always loved your approach to eating healthy, working out and most Importantly balance! I don’t watch many other fitness related instagram stories but I always watch yours because you like to keep it real! You have a job and a life outside of instagram/working out which is really inspiring and important. Sometimes life gets the best of us and it can be hard to recognize that but you are always the voice of reason! So thanks for sharing your story on social media and being real!

    • cguentz.gofit says:

  16. Lauren Joseph says:

Hi Claire! ??I love following you and I just think you are adorable! I love seeing your daily life and how you balance healthy choices with balance of the every day. I would love to hear more about how you and Stephen stay healthy as a couple. Date nights, working out together, motivating each other, etc.

  17. Lauren C says:

Love hearing you talk through macros and tips! You are the reason I started paying attention to macros and it has made me think of food in a different light. Still not great at it but it’s helped paying attention to the breakdown of what’s in what I eat! Continue with anything macro related! I like the mix of posts you do between diet, exercise, relationship, fashion, beauty… keeps it entertaining! I would be interested to hear about your fitness journey before you started paola and macros.

  18. Lainy says:

First off, I just want to say that you are one of my favorite people I follow on IG. You seem like such a genuine person, like you actually show everyone a glimpse into your every day life. Nothing about you seems fake and I love that. I would love to see some more stuff about home decor, I really enjoyed your little tidbits on your story about finding things for your office/ second bedroom. I also love the style posts about clothing (both workout clothes and regular clothes). Keep up the good work!:)

  19. Priya says:

I actually really love seeing the Instagram stories. It’s what I do when I get home from work and relax. I honestly find ig stories more entertaining than Netflix. So, keep up the good work on that! Also, I love when posts are detailed with what you’re buying, where you’re buying, how you store, how long products last you- in regards to food. With fitness related subjects I think all of the tips and tricks are helpful. If you could discuss progress and how to learn to treat your body with tender care, I would love that.

  20. Alex says:

  21. Emily says:

Hi Claire! I’ve been following your posts for quite a while now. You were one of the very first BBG bloggers I started following & felt motivated by 🙂 So i’ve really enjoyed seeing the progression and changes over the years (I think it’s been a couple years)! Anyways, although I enjoy all the workout info, I like how you’ve transitioned into other areas of your life. I personally care quite a bit about fashion so I wouldn’t mind seeing more posts about that! And you & Stephen are really great and remind me so much of me & my fiancé so I also wouldn’t mind seeing more stuff with you guys as well! I always appreciate your honesty & authenticity. I think most bloggers think they show that but most of the time they really don’t so you definitely stand out! Thanks for all you do!

  22. Riley Chaisson says:

Hi! I discovered your Instagram through a story that you were featured on in Snapchat. It was kind of awhile ago, but I think it was just about your transformation from before you had broken your jaw to after, and your story really inspired me! I followed you because I just wanted to see more of what you’re about. I have to say that this is actually the first time I’ve been on your blog, but there are so many posts that have caught my interest that I think I’ll be visiting more now haha. But anyway, I love watching your IG stories and seeing the things that go on in your day-to-day life. And, as I think most people have pointed out, you’re so real and relatable! You’re also super fashionable, and I’ve gotten a lot of inspo from you in that area as well, and I love looking at what you post about your finds and whenever you get a good deal. I’m definitely going to look into those Marc Jacobs sunglasses. One way that I think I differ from most people that follow you is that I don’t really pay much attention to when you talk about macros, simply because that’s not something I focus on in my own life, so it’s not really useful to me. However, I would like to see more details on your workouts, and maybe other excersises you do that don’t require a machine such as the stairmaster. Furthermore, I also loved watching when you and Stephen cooked dinner together, and would love to see some more posts like that, and just about your relationship/lifestyle in general. I can’t wait until you guys get a dog, that’ll provide even more drama for your IG stories lol. Anyway, I still love your whole brand, and you do a great job already, so thanks so much for just being you!

  23. Kiersten says:

Hey Claire! I love reading your blogs, following your Instagram, and watching your stories. There’s nothing I would want you to change about what you’re doing; I like the mix of nutrition, fitness, lifestyle, and relationship posts that you share. I know a lot of people want you to talk more about macros and what not, I would like something that people who already know how to count macros may benefit from rather than teaching people how to count. It might be cool about advising how to make your own adjustments to your macros based off of your goals. I understand you have someone calculate for you (Paola has also calculated my macros multiple times), but for some of us paying someone to periodically adjust your macros isn’t super sustainable. Also of course continue including Stephen in your posts and stories because you’re both hilarious and it’s also cool to see his perspective of things.
Thanks for being so willing to share things with everyone:)

  24. Kelsey Bucholtz says:

Hi Claire!! I love watching your stories on Instagram–they always feel so relatable to me. I love how down-to-earth you seem. With that being said, you always seem happy and relaxed. I would love to hear what you do day-to-day to maintain your positive vibes. Again, because you seem so relatable, I would love to hear what you’ve done to overcome tough points in your life.

I like seeing your food diaries, but grocery shopping is tricky for me. I know you’ve made a blog post about what to look for when shopping, but I would love to see a general list of foods you buy and any you avoid. I would love to read about recipes you make and see pictures of them on IG too!

Stephen seems pretty chill with you always posting… has it always been like that? Does he ever get annoyed by it? If so, how do you guys handle this conflict? A blog post on handling conflicts would be great!

In general, I would love to hear any life stories you have had. I would love to see more IG posts about fashion, what you eat (healthy or unhealthy), and fitness posts! There’s nothing on your feed that I don’t really like. My suggestions are more blog related than IG related, but I hope I had at least one suggestion that will inspire you!

Hey Claire! I love following you on Insta and just subscribed to your blog to stay updated on new stuff. I find you and your content super relatable as a working, 20-something woman making time for health + fitness and a healthy relationship! I’d love to learn more about balancing your Insta with business AND personal posts. I run a small home business and have incorporated that into my social media over the past year, but don’t want my feeds to be solely focused on that. How have you balanced that in order to keep/grow a genuine and consistent following? I’d also enjoy learning more about your take on Insta stories vs. posts. Do you find the more you share on stories, the more engagement you get on posts, you post less/more, etc? I’m all about living a balanced life (fitness, food, fun, work, relationship) and really relate anytime you share how you manage it all! Thanks in advance 🙂

  28. Ellie says:

Hi, I would love to see more beauty tips and by the way your blog is the best??

  29. Kimberly says:

Hi! I started following your instagram for the fitness aspect, then I found out you are a nurse and it got even better! I also started following Paola’s guide and tracking macros because of you. I like how you make tracking macros look easily, that you go out to eat and enjoy life but still have goals. It has made me easily it doesn’t have to be as complicated as you make it and you can go out be social and enjoy life. I also love seeing you and Stephen interact, he seems so supportive and you two have a great, strong relationship. As far as content, I would like to see more about the connection of tracking macros and nursing. I am a nurse also with a rotating schedule, so sometimes it gets tricky tracking macros if I work days then switch to nights for a short period of time. Also, how has your work schedule affected your workout schedule? After running around during a 12 hour shift I am so exhausted mentally and physically getting rest sounds better than pushing myself to get to the gym. Either way, I thoroughly enjoy the content you put out!

    • cguentz.gofit says:

Hey! Thanks so much for all the feedback!! I dk if you saw this post, but it’s called “tips for working nightshift” and I talk about my macros for when I work nights at the hospital. This may help answer some questions in the meantime!!

  30. Kris Camp says:

I know macro counting/measuring food can be a slippery slope for some. I think a post on how you maintain a healthy relationship with food without over-restricting/obsessing or developing any sort of emotional eating habits would be informative.

  31. Kelsey Sear says:

I really like how open and honest you are about everything. I would like you to continue talking about your macros and maybe how you prepare for the upcoming week (depending on what your schedule is like). Ive been following you for some time now and always look forward to when you are going to post. Thank you so much for sharing your journey!

  32. Shannon Murphy says:

    Hi Claire!

Thanks so much for asking for our opinions. I began following your blog because of SSBM and for macros assistance. Soon, I was hooked because of your other fitness tips. Over the past couple months, I’ve really enjoyed how to speak about your personal life, and having a healthy balance of working out, eating well but also indulging. And one thing I didn’t expect to get from following you but I’ve really enjoyed is your fashion advice! I love you linking to likeittoknowit, explaining your wardrobe pieces and where you purchase them. It’s been fun! My bank account might think otherwise ? Overall, I follow you for your fitness, fashion and fun personality and I particularly enjoy following you because you post on these subjects and a variety of others. Go on witcha bad self!!

    – Shannon (@scmurphy09)

  33. Haley Halsted says:

Just like the other replies above, I also really enjoy following your blog and instagram. I greatly appreciate how real you are. It can be so discouraging scrolling through instagram and seeing bloggers only post about this dairy free – protein – sugar free – vegan – super green – uber healthy recipes and alternatives; I find myself thinking, ‘don’t they ever miss the actual food of these healthy alternatives? Do they remember how good a regular donut or burger tastes with a side of fries?! Who are these people!’ I find myself similar to you – I like my workout and meal routine, but I also have worked on myself to realize I can have a burger or pizza when I am going out with friends, significant other or just because I want it. Seeing your posts about the balance you have created, is truly a breath of fresh air and a nice reality check – you can be healthy and STILL have muscles/definition after eating a regular bowl of ice cream. So to finish off my babbling, some content suggestions for your posts on instagram and blog, include just regular daily things. Seeing what brands you use for beauty products, food, workout clothes etc. and also what your workout schedules are. Maybe posts that talk about your journey. Most of all, I would really ask yourself what you want to post now. I have a feeling you started this blog mostly for your own benefit, it should continue to be that way. You’re very kind to ask your followers what they want more of, but don’t lose sight in posting what YOU want as well.

    Peace, love and donuts,

  34. Hi Claire! I have been following you for a while and just love everything you have to offer from your Instagram stories to blog posts and just your brand in general. It’s so authentic and real and true and I think that’s a common thing most people have to say about you which is amazing! And honestly I would say keep doing what you’re doing! You keep a great balance between different aspects of your life besides just fitness and that helps people relate to you more, as I know that’s true for me! I would love to see more workout videos or even just tips on form, types of exercises, etc. But keep up the great work for sure!

Hey Claire! I discovered your page all the way over in South Africa and absolutely love it ? I’d love to see more workout photos and stories and more posts about who you are! You stories about you and Stephen are just the best and I look forward to them everyday! I’m au pairing in New York for the year end holidays and the gift card would be amazing ?? Keep shining ?

Hi Claire! I love your IG and blog, you’re a main reason I started my fitness journey (I was so inspired when I started following you). I would love to see more of what you buy from the grocery store (there are a bunch of items I started buying from your recommendation after I started counting macros!), so macro friendly items from the grocery store is always great to see. I would also agree with some other comments that I’d like to see less professional posed photos and more of you everyday (love your “out to eat” photos!). Also, I found it super helpful when you shared your stair master workout routine – do you do any HIIT? If so I’d love to hear about that too!

You’re so relatable – thank you for sharing your fitness journey with everyone and keeping it real

    Hey Claire ??
I have been following you forever, I love seeing all of your content and watching your IG stories! You are so relatable and down to earth. I love you and Stephan and your dynamic together ?

I really like the more causal and less stylized pictures but also you look great in every snap so they are fun sometimes too ?

I would really like to see more content related to you and Stephen, relationship and everyday stuff. I would also be interested in seeing like closet haul/ whats in my purse type YouTube videos. Tips on starting a blog and balancing that with working as a nurse. Tips on the business side like saving/spending money, I am also a big shopper but I’m currently a university student so lack the bank account to back up my passion for shopping ??
Weirdly enough feels like I know you from following along forever but honenstly just kept doing what your doing, love you and love this blog!!

  38. Maria Luz says:

Hay Claire! I really love your content and it’s actually the one that has been the most helpful in my journey. I’ve learned a lot about tracking macros and really improved the way I do it thanks to you and your posts.
I would like you to keep posting advice about macro tracking as I am constantly learning new things! And also I am really inspired by you to start my own insta account, and I know that I should just do it, but I am really disappointed with the quality of the photos I take. I know you take your pictures for insta with your iPhone, so I’d appreciate if you could give some advice on how to take better pictures!
Other than that I would say that I love your blog so keep doing what you do!
P.S. I am following you from Argentina so I don’t know if I can participate on the givaway but I wanted to give some feedback anyway haha

Hi Maria!! Thanks for your feedback! Will definitely write a blog post on getting started, how to take better photos, etc. I have a few blog posts up now on tips for starting out so take a look at those in the meantime, they may help! And yes you can still participate! If anyone wins who is out of the country they will get a giftcard via email/electronically 🙂

  39. Caroline Stokes says:

Hi! I’m super obsessed with your blog and Instagram! I’d love to see more about you and Stephen because you guys are the cutest. I’d also love info on all your favorite stores because you have the cutest clothes and accessories (maybe a blog on your top 10 stores or something), anyways love you and think you are the best!

  40. Megan Munno says:

Hi! I’d like to see more relationship and fashion stuff. You and Steven are funny and I love all your outfits.

  41. Lauren says:

    Hey Claire!

I have been following you for a decent amount of time and one thing I really love seeing from you is the balance of living your life and being healthy. I would love if you touched more on all the other options people around you live healthy lives and when/why you decided to go with yours! I feel like a lot of people feel like they can’t change their mind from liking yoga to running to lifting but that’s not true! Almost all of us have tried a million different ways to stay healthy and in the end we all just find one that fits us best!

Thanks for all you do! I know blogging helps so many and you’re so welcoming!

    Lauren

  42. Taylor says:

I think that your content about real life is interesting, especially balancing having a career with your fitness routine. Travel (little weekend trips) are fun to include with recommendations for restaurants and what not. And like you’ve been doing, clothes are always a fun post!

  43. Mikayla says:

This is SO helpful, Claire! Thanks!! As far as topics I’d be totally interested to hear your thoughts and methods on, I’d love to know how you budget!! As another married 20-something it’s awesome to see your balance of vacationing and amazing fashion purchases and also the regular work life, workout grind. How do you make it all work? You seem to have a great balance with life and budget, just like you have a great balance with food and macros!

I would love to see what you do in terms of stretching/foam rolling. I feel like so many people talk about the workout programs they follow, but many of them don’t talk about recovery (I know Paola’s does) but I’d be interested in hearing what ways you recover/what stretching routines you do 🙂

    • cguentz.gofit says:

yes I don’t talk about this that much either hehe. I never really foam roll actually! I usually just stretch after the gym or I’ve been doing bulldog yoga some to stretch out and cool down as well

  45. Sarah Meriwether says:

Hey Claire! I’ve been following you for awhile and love your instagram & blog! Your posts on macros are very helpful since I’ve been tracking and always have questions still! I would like to see more content about you and Stephen (possibly relationship advice, etc.) I’m still waiting on your video about moving in together ! Also you have the cutest outfits and I love how you share where you got them. Thanks for sharing your journey & life with all of us 🙂

  46. Rachel Burton says:

Claire!! You’re IG/blog/website/YT’s are my absolute favorite!!

You’re so relatable and down to earth and it makes me feel like I know you personally and that you’re a friend of mine. The other day my boyfriend and I were watching your story and he asked who you were and I responded without thinking “oh you know my friend, Claire”…to which he responded, “you don’t have a friend Claire” haha 🙂 Anyway, you’re advice on macros is incrediblyyyy helpful. I’m new to the macro counting and am now following you on MFP. I’ve been really struggling with hitting my protein count each day. Do you have any suggestions for getting my protein numbers up without eating straight meat for hours? Do you find that you are bloated after eating packaged food? I’m so curious because my stomach is pretty sensitive and get bloated/feel sick pretty easily.

Thank you for all your time and effort that goes into all your posts! Im sure it takes a lot to get them going, but you are so kind to us all in keeping up the posts. You and Stephen rock and keep up the good work!!

    • cguentz.gofit says:

hahah, we are friends though!! I consider all of you guys my friends and love talking with everyone so I’m glad you feel the same way (so tell your bf that 😉 ) and thanks for all the feedback. actually have on my calendar for this month on a blog post to hit protein…youre not alone in asking this!! xx thanks for the rest of the input babe!!

  47. Kelsey Rae Marks says:

I always so appreciate your honesty and “realness” during your posts. I especially liked your post on nursing because I am a speech-pathologist and am constantly in the midst of balancing superstress at work, meal prep, workouts, and having a life.

I’d love another or more posts about finding that balance of a 40 hour work week plus managing other “projects”:)

  48. Emily Spencer says:

Hey Claire! I love your Snapchat stories and how relatable you and your husband are (also hilarious). I enjoy your lifestyle posts and macro posts! Could we see more dinner recipes? Also what’s your take on birth control/hormones? I look forward to your YouTube videos and would love some day in the life type stuff!

  49. ADriana says:

Hi! I would like to know more about how has been the transitioning from a girlfriend and bow to a wife? How do you divide the home tasks, bills, etc? Is it difficult? And also more about your workout routines! Thank you?

  50. Akanksha Gupta says:

Hi Claire! I honestly loved this post! ? I have always found you so genuine and raw in your IG posts and here! I have learned sooo much about balancing foods from what you share about your daily meals on IG stories. I would love to know if you have some tips and tricks for easy meal preps for vegetarians when you are new to counting macros. If possible can you also share ideas to make the transition to counting macros easy? Thanks ???

    • cguentz.gofit says:

hey love! thanks for the feedback! and to answer your question, go to my macros tab on my blog and I have posts on my top tips for counting macros…that may help!
